In the beginning of November, sbot cracked Silkroad R 58, a popular darknet drug-sales website. Over a billion dollars worth of drugs were traded on Silkroad R 58 each month and the site was only shut down after it lost its top administrators to FBI custody. Sbot cracked silkroad r 58 with ease by using an automated bot which they named "Abaddon". This bot used Tor to connect to deep web markets and purchase items that customers would send their way. In less than 24 hours, Abaddon managed to trace the hidden seller's IP address and successfully purchased over 300K Euros worth of drugs from them. When the FBI shut down the site, they searched through the administrator's computer and found a hidden folder where they found a copy of SilkRoad R 58's .onion address. The FBI then proceeded to raid the house of a man named Daniel Kelman where they seized a laptop with a copy of SilkRoad R 58's hidden website. The FBI then went onto Silkroad R 58 where they saw over two billion dollars worth of DMT, MDMA, and other illicit drugs being traded on their hidden site by hundreds of drug dealers from all over the world. After discovering this fact, the FBI decided to search through the site's message boards and found hundreds of private messages, discussions, and private contact information. The FBI then began tracking the personal information of all the users on SilkRoad R 58. They started by hacking into email accounts that belonged to drug dealers who used fake names when they signed up for SilkRoad R 58. When these emails were hacked, they gave the FBI access to over 20,000 emails that contained valuable information such as phone numbers and dealings between drug dealers. After tracing thousands of personal details like bank account numbers. IP addresses, and other contact details of drug dealers on the site, the FBI eventually ended up tracking down Daniel Kelman's IP address.https://web.archive.org/web/20151117210119/http://www.thedailybeast.com/#!__security-research-gadgets_6zudzqbkz6zpdjzxzizizjbyjbyjbyjbyjbyjbybsvabag6hxafczbfasje4aslje4a1je4a1je4a1je4a1je4a1je4a1 https://www.schneier. com/blog/archives/2014/12/the_curious_case.html http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/dark-web-drugs-dealer-foiled-by-automatic-botnet-1487886 http://www.ibtimes.co.uk http://techcrunch.com http://www.aoltechtalk.com https://web.archive. cfa1e77820
